Tom began his training as a Chorister at St John’s College Cambridge, and is currently studying Composition at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. In 2008 he was one of the winners of the BBC Proms Young Composers Competition and was subsequently commissioned to write music for the 2009 Proms. Tom has worked with professionals from both the film and theatre industries, composing, arranging, playing and producing music for many projects and shows. He is a member of the National Youth Theatre Production Department.
In 2009 Tom toured the UK with Cambridge Touring Theatre playing keyboards for their production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, touring again in 2010 with their production of Robin Hood as Assistant MD. At the end of 2009 he was commissioned by the Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra to compose a fanfare for their 2010 Summer Concert. Tom is the arranger and pianist for pop/opera band The Arrangement, who featured on the 2010 series of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent. In early 2011 he was arranger and pianist for Mash-Up, a cabaret in London featuring many West End performers. Tom is Assistant MD for Interval Productions.
